Isle of Wight Hall Available for Hire
Whitwell Village Hall is available to hire for community groups, charities, classes, meetings, events and other local activities.
Located in the heart of Whitwell on the Isle of Wight, our village hall provides a welcoming and affordable space for both regular bookings and one-off events.
The hall is regularly used by local charities, community organisations, clubs and groups, and can accommodate a variety of activities and events.
Hall Facilities
The village hall offers a range of facilities to make your booking as convenient as possible:
- Seating for up to 90 people
- Approximately 10 folding tables in various sizes
- Fully equipped kitchen with cooking facilities
- Cooker, microwaves and refrigerator
- Car parking for approximately 20 vehicles
- Wheelchair access via the rear entrance and concrete ramp
- Lighting included in the session price
- Electricity available via a pay-as-you-use meter
- Electric heating available via the pay-as-you-use meter
Accessible Facilities
The hall has wheelchair access through the rear entrance, which is reached via a concrete access ramp.
Kitchen Facilities
The village hall has a kitchen available for use as part of your booking. Facilities include a cooker, microwaves and a refrigerator, making it suitable for community lunches, meetings, classes and other events where refreshments or catering are required.

Hall Hire Sessions
We normally hire the hall by session rather than by the hour. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the hall without having to worry about additional hourly charges.
Our usual sessions are:
Morning
09:00 – 13:00
Afternoon
14:00 – 18:00
Evening
19:00 – 23:00
Where availability allows, we may be able to adjust the session times to suit your requirements. Please contact us to discuss your booking.
Hire Prices
Hire prices are negotiable depending on your requirements.
We regularly hire the hall on a session basis, rather than charging by the hour. This can make the hall a particularly flexible option for regular groups and one-off events.
Lighting is included in the hire price. Electricity used for other purposes, including heating, is charged separately through a pay-as-you-use meter located within the building.

Important: Inflatables
Bouncy castles, trampolines and other inflatables are not permitted at Whitwell Village Hall.
This is due to the low-hanging ceiling lights within the hall, and these activities are not covered by the village hall’s insurance.
